Tax Information Exchange Burmuda and UK

HMRC today announced the signing of an agreement between the UK and Burmuda for the "exchange of information" relating to "taxes"...

Close on the heals of the Offshore Disclosure Amnesty in the UK for which the deadline was 26 November 2006 and on reports that a second Amnesty arrangement is to be pursued this is part and parcel of the growing communication between countries around the world.

With the poor data security record of this Government however no doubt there will at some point be an even larger data security breach involving easily in excess of a 100 Million people or substantially more from various Countries exposing people's personal banking records, dates of birth and other private details to the wrong people...
